Gemas (Gummy For Hyperemesis) Berbasis Buah Nanas Sebagai Upaya Penurunan Gejala Hiperemesis Gravidarum

Abstract

Pregnant women with hyperemesis gravidarum can experience impacts and complications to the health of the mother and fetus, so pharmacological and non- pharmacological efforts are needed to reduce the symptoms of hyperemesis gravidarum. Non-pharmacological efforts can be found in natural fruits that contain vitamin B6, such as pineapple. This study aims to develop gummy products made from pineapple fruit with nutritional analysis and textural properties to determine the contribution of the product in reducing symptoms of hyperemesis gravidarum. This research uses a complete randomized design (CRD) with four levels of treatment, namely GM0, GM1, GM2 and GM3, the selected formula in the product is GM3 which is analyzed for nutrients and textural properties. The results showed that the nutrient content of the product in the contribution of nutrients was less than optimal in reducing the symptoms of hyperemesis gravidarum due to less than the fulfillment of the needs of pregnant women in a day, but these results were able to be an additional intake in reducing the effects of hyperemesis gravidarum. Meanwhile, the results of the texture properties of the product show that the texture produced has the potential for consumer acceptance of the use of natural ingredients used in efforts to reduce the symptoms of hyperemesis gravidarum.
