Abstract

Introduction: Nurses are a professional group that has high work demands, great responsibility and strong commitment. Every day nurses are exposed to psychosocial factors that hinder their performance. The psychosocial risk that often occurs is workload. The impact of psychosocial risk factors is job dissatisfaction. Research objectives: To determine the effect of subjective workload on nurses job satisfaction in the Inpatient Unit of Sakinah Islamic Hospital, Mojokerto. Research methods: This was a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population of the study was 86 nurses in the Inpatient Unit of Sakinah Islamic Hospital, Mojokerto. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The number of samples was 71 people. Data collection used a questionnaire. Data analysis in this study used a simple linear regression test. Research results: Subjective workload has an effect on nurses’ job satisfaction in the Inpatient Unit of Sakinah Islamic Hospital, Mojokerto. The subjective workload that has an effect on nurses’ job satisfaction is psychological workload. Conclusions: Nurses’ job satisfaction can increase if psychological workload can be controlled.
